Popular stand at Euroblech 2018

Red hot metal attracted hordes of spectators to the EFD Induction stand at this year’s fair in Hannover. For many, it was the first time they had ever seen a live demonstration of induction heating.

“Walking around the fair, I hardly saw any other stands that were so frequently visited as ours”, says Technician Stefan Schubotz.

He would be right in thinking that Euroblech 2018 was quite a crowded affair. This 25th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition attracted a total of 56,301 visitors from around the world. They all came to Hannover to get an overview of the latest innovations and digital technologies for sheet metal working and to invest in new manufacturing machinery.

More than 1,500 companies from 40 countries exhibited at this year’s show. EFD Induction was represented with a large stand, with daily induction demonstrations that drew crowds of onlookers.

“The EFD Induction stand was a real attraction”, smiles Project Manager Sarah Kromer. “Guests from all over the world were totally excited about the presentations with our Minac. Both those with and those without knowledge of induction came to ask us about the technology.”

“Yes, we had lots of international visitors”, IPS Sales Representative Patrizia Schneider agrees. “This was a good place for us to showcase induction as replacement of flame heating.”

Apart from the continuous demonstrations where passers-by stopped to have a look, the stand also featured a special Minac session scheduled at 11 every morning. Intrigued visitors lined up for the show and many wanted to have a chat with our staff afterwards.

“Many guests wanted more information about our products and applications”, says Sarah. “Some of them visited our stand purposely with the aim of getting more detailed information on certain applications or procedures. Some were at present using other forms of heating and were thinking about changing to induction.”
