Fabulous week at Tube 2018

With a brand new, beautiful stand manned by a dozen staff members, EFD Induction was well-prepared for the hordes of visitors at the world’s most important trade fair for the tube and tube processing industry. We return home with many new customer contacts and good business prospects.

Investment has gone up worldwide – in infrastructure, the automotive sector, the electrical industry, regenerative energy projects and in oil and gas pipelines. This means increased activity in the tube and wire industries, which was evident at the 2018 Tube and Wire fairs in Düsseldorf, Germany, last week.

The fairs have broken all previous records this year, being bigger and more international than ever. More than 71,500 trade visitors from 134 countries came to Düsseldorf over the five days to find out about industry innovations and conclude business deals. A total of 2,683 companies presented their technology highlights in 16 exhibition halls.

You will be forgiven for asking if our stand didn’t get lost in such a huge crowd but this was not the case – quite the contrary! From the doors opened in the morning until closing time, the EFD Induction stand was packed with visitors. Some sought us out deliberately, others were drawn to the Weldac 1MW single cabinet tube welder on display, and countless passers-by stopped to watch the live demonstrations of induction heating.

All in all, there were several hundred registered visitors from more than thirty countries to the EFD Induction stand. Some of these have already signed contracts with us. During the exhibition we got two orders for Weldacs to customers in Turkey and Mexico, and this week, we have received an order for a Weldac from a customer in Italy.

It was particularly nice for us that so many existing customers stopped by for a chat, both to express how pleased they were with the equipment we had delivered and also tell us about forthcoming plans for new acquirements.

Managing Director of HUS Ltd, Mr. Dimitar Milenkov, was full of praise for EFD Induction and revealed plans to buy an additional three Weldacs for their production plant in Bulgaria.
